You have to know WHERE to buy

There are many companies selling all types of hookahs and shisha.
Would it suprise you to know  that the same product at a number of companies will have a big price difference? Its true, but even more so, the same product at one company could be vastly different than its counterpart elsewhere.
For a true example I’ll […]

Smoking ban in public places

You  probably understand  what the Smoking bans in public places like restaurants are all about. You yourself don’t want to eat your hamburger and drink a milkshake with smoke in the air, right? And their are kids around also.
But when it comes to banning smoking in hookah bars, from the U.K. to USA to India  […]

Beirut/Narghileh (Article)

This is a great article from Lancet publishing. They  refer to the rise of hookah smoking  in the Middle East itself.
One politician he states rented 200 hookahs from a restaurant owner to keep people happy while listening to his speech! http://www.thelancet.com/journals/lancet/article/PIIS0140673605728713/fulltext

Rediscover

Its so important  to keep an open mind about hookah.
Everyone who smokes hookah at home is an “experimenter”.  never fails. Trying new mixes of shisha, buying shisha you’ve never even smoked just to try it out. Keeping inmind that maybe the cheaper brand of shisha could in the end be your favorite.
We try out ways […]

some ideas when using quick-lighting coals

I have often in the past used natural coals, and I really prefer them, but where I’m living  now its impossible.
Of course the quick lighting are usually more convenient but we all know about the flying sparks that a lot of them give off, and smoke, but above all the floor gets messed with a […]

another cool idea, or not?

Their  are opinions that its a good idea to store your  shisha tobacco in the refrigerator. As mentioned before and I’ll only touch on it now, its no good. How do I know? From doing it 4 years ago when I was just starting out and had a small enough stash  of shisha to put […]

How much charcoal to use

When smoking hookah one of the major costs will be charcoal. You don’t want to use too much for a few reasons. One, too much will not only be a waste of charcoal and money, but also of your precious shisha stash. Too much heat will burn the shisha tobacco instead […]

Best cover for the coals

No one is going to put  coals straight onto the tobacco, unless you are smoking  the very strong, unflavoured Iranian tobacco.
Some people put on a wire mesh instead of using aluminum, but it doesn’t  keep the coals as hot, and the heat inside the tobacco bowl well. For that aluminum  foil is the best  bet.
I’ve […]

I’m crazy for the “chiller” hookah.

The chiller  on the top of the shaft is great. Ice keeps the smoke so cool. I read that adding salt to the water and then freezing it keeps it even colder. Didn’t have salt so I tried baking soda which is sodium- Right? I’ll tell you what results…
