Smoking-Hookah in Iran 

The “Big Bomb” Nuclear energy with lots of coals. Iran style smoking is done in a very large shisha bowl of tombek which is tobacco leaves shredded ,saturated with water and smoked mildly wet with the coals on top. Now, if its not wet, the coals will burn the tobacco. There is no flavouring and now mu’assel,no honey,no glycerin to bond the flavourings to the tobacco. Most of our shishas are washed like this once or they would be too strong. Technically with the shisha we smoke there is no need to wash them with water as there is glycerine /and or flavours and honey or molasses to keep them from burning. Iran tombek is dry so …no water,no smoke,just burnt shsia.  And as the coals are topped right on contact with the tombek (shisha) it has to be a little wet.  Its strong.                

 Those of you who make your own shisha with pipe tobacco also have to wash it with water at least once for 2 reasons : one so it won’t burn,even with foil it will burn, secondly, pipe tobacco is stronger by far than cigarettes and “57″ times stronger than regular shisha.

 too bad. The most intresting and important point has been cropped off at the very top. the gigantic open clay bowl of tombek topped with coals!
