The months of Ramadan ,the month in Islam for extra prayer and repentence falls exactly during the same days during the month of Elul,time of extra pray and repentence for Jews, both finishing in a new year.

And no wonder the Jewish and Muslim calendar are lunar going by the moon,not Gregorian by the sun. Both are marked by earlier morning prayer than usual,fasting all 30 days for Muslims until evening.

I put up Arabic religious songs and Jewish religious songs, you’ll notice some resemblence in the musical instruments like Oud,violin,goat skin drums ,zyther,bells.
