When smoking hookah socially there are rules that you should follow so you dont offend anyone or have awkward moments occur. First rule to always remember: “Don’t hog the hookah or hose.” No one likes a hose hog, so if you have a story to tell or are not pulling from the hookah pass the hose. Pulling from the hookah brings us to the next rule: “Dont slober on the hose”. No one wants to suck on a juicy slobery hose so make sure to keep your lips and mouth dry of saliva. Another thing to keep in mind if you are hosting the social gathering then let your guests enjoy the hookah and try to teach others the proper way to smoke and proper etiquette. I know its annoying at times, trust me there are times that you want to tell someone to hurry up with the story and just smoke but you have to be understanding. Im sure you were there at one time. Another thing to think about is if you have a multi-hosed hookah is to only have one person draw from the hookah at a time and keep an eye on your bowl. The more people you have drawing from the hookah the faster your shisha and charcoal will burn. Just have fun and enjoy having something new to add to a social gathering. Hookah is an interesting and unique piece that not everyone knows about. Who knows you may impress someone with the sophistication of your hookah techniques.
