Scarf it
Great idea in the desert, to keep that gritty sand out of your moustache and teeth, thin, keeps the sun off your head,

Shows which clan you belong to so you don’t get a knife from “friendly stabbing”!

¬†” Smoking-Hookah.com”¬† a company from the Middle-East has gone to the source (You’d think Jordan,Syria,Yemen,Saudi Arabia right) but I’ll bet these beauties are woven in India,Pakistan,Bangla Desh or Mainland China!!!
Look at these new fashions and higher quality scarf shemahgs and kaffiyehs :
I tried getting a few online photos to catch your eye, but nothing else online compares to the richness of design and material of these from smoking-Hookah.com

The Jewish “scarf” comes with strings attatched!
Its not a scarf at all, but a Prayer shawl which is meant to cover the body on four corners with the required tied strings and knot combinitions. Its worn during prayer, but 24 hours a day this is worn on or under the shirt :
