WANTED-Hookah Bar Worker

If you saw in the work wanted ads a job as a worker in a hookah bar would YOU take it?

Imagine waiting on tables of 5-6 eople asking the same questions¬† 15 times a night like : “What, I don’t see grass on the menu”, or ” are those coals hot?”. Then there are the show-off types that will¬† try to let everyone know how knowledgable they are and get you into a deep discussion of all the ins and outs of hookah detail. Worse are the guys who call you over after 2 beers with the dumb jokes¬† at your expense like “do you get to ¬†smoke for free here?” a question asked at least every hour every night for as long as you work. ¬†They thought they were being original. Try to smile and not lose your cool or they will complain to your boss. The people at a lounge¬†are¬† rowdier than any restaurant for sure. Then someone shoves a camera at you and asks you to take a picture of them in all the typical poses like 2 girls kissing witha hookah mouthpiece stuck up their noses. But you’ve seen all that 500 times so it could get boring.

Or maybe you’ll be working behind the bar with the hot coals. With so many coals it could get quite smokey, hot and dangerous. The contant cleaning of hoses and hookah parts.

quite a job. I wonder if they get any tips.“Harried Harrietta”

get ready for a joke at your expense….

seems that everyone smokes narghilah.

¬†here it comes, another “joke”.

Many lounge/bars have top entertainers :

I actually saw Elvis Presley perform in Blackstone, Idaho at a hookah bar in 2004.

So if you are thinking of working in a hookah bar, think twice. It could be alright. The only one who’s going to get the good tips are the dancers, if there are any. For that you can shave, put on a wig, make-up and learn to cover yourself with the coloured twirly fans at the right time.Anyone can do it.

Know Your Coals

So I burned a nice bowl of shisha yesterday.”Right off the bat”. Firstly, I’m smoking with some brand new bowls I recieved to try that have a very small diameter. Normaly¬† I smoke with a larger bowl, so I put on a coal and a half since I like strong smoke, 3 half pieces.I guess the small bowl couldn’t take all that heat. It is a super small diameter bowl.

Also, I have on hand “Nakhla” quick-lite, “Pegasus” quickLite and “Soex Quik-Lite

and each one gives off a different level of heat. So it needs playing around with. One thing, I never tamp down the tobacco in the bowl so the air  can circulate well and if I did, for sure it would burn, nor do I put the shisha too high so that it would touch the aluminum foil and burn for sure!

Takes working with.

2 Al-Waha Shisha Reviews

¬†I had to write a review on “Al-Waha” brand Guava flavour. I’m wild for the smell of¬† real guava fruit, and even more for it’s taste. Now this is the second pack I’ve recieved.

The smell upon opening the box is nothing at all like guava. It smells like the inside of a work-out gym, or sports locker room. Exactly! Besides that, any shisha has its own smell be it cherry, apple, grape, orange, pear, watermelon, banana¬†etc. But this guava’s smell is extremly pungent and super strong.

The taste when smoking is also very, very strong and itdoesn’t seem like a guava taste but its terrific. It -‘m smoking a small bowl too, and its lasting quite a long time compared to the other¬†Al-Waha flavours. I’m enjoying this emmensly. It might not be guava maybe “allspice” but its fantastic.

The second I want to tal about is A-Waha brand “Bahareni” date flavour. Al-Waha is from Jordan and they have many date groves there.

“Bahareni” is very dark and has the smell of dates¬† when you open the¬† pac. The taste when smoking is rich and luxurious.

In this photo the Bahareni flavour is on the bottom right side,  the pack has date palms on it.

“Hookah..its not just for students”.

“Al-Sultan ” brand shisha is also from Jordan and¬† I think it is a terrific shisha.
