hookah forum stolen by big business intrests

I had a hookah forum going for about 3 years at gooogle groups called “Hookah-

Lovers”.There were around 500 people whom I actually myself convinced to join, from verious local hookah lounges, but it basically turned into a blog of my own doing. I was¬† #2 member listed¬† as “Tom Sar” after Heshel Pashell was the owner started it¬† as “owner” for the commercials and advertising that google does on the page, but he didn’t write unless I “prodded” him out of his¬† shell quite defencifly to shake a fist and¬† run to his shell.

It was  meant to be about hookah things only and with humourous intent.

I have left it for a year and find it taken over by comercial intrests.

I’ve been thrown out of better places than google foru.
I’ve checked out the hookah-lover’s forum at yahoo, its full of posts like”Want to find your dream girl, the one with 4 eyes and bad breath just like you do? call here! Or ads. for viagra and such. no hookah there.

Marijuana in your pipe?

Ask anyone who has smoked marijuana in their hookah, the first time was…
The next time they used it for regular flavoured shisha tobacco came a BIG suprise! Ugh!!! The flavours (any and all tasted like fried borscht).
The forums of hookah ALL have people who wrote in saying that they enjoy smoking marijuana, but the hemp resins completely ruin the inside stem shaft of the narghileh. Throw that shaft away. The bottle you can keep.
I am not making any opinions about marijuana here.
There was a nice t.v. commercial by the famous actor of the 50’s and 60’s Tony Curtis who is the father of what-is-her-name? Curtis?
Goes like this :
Tony Curtis with a smile :
“I quit smoking……(smirk)…cigarettes that is”.
So roll your own, buy a regular pipe, etc. But not in the hookah.
There are other things historically and now smoked in the hookah which will not ruin it.Hashish, opium.
They will not affect the pipe.(maybe your life if you’re driving).
There are derivatives of things like salvia and salvia divinorum to be bought online.
Don’t know, never tried.
Stick to tobacco shisha or buy a growing number of brand named Herbal no tobacco, no tar and nicotine smokes like “Black Label” brand, “Soex ” brand.
They even taste great!

Cultural Tolerance at the hookah Bar!

The Hookah bar is a common ground for uniting all cultures. In a normal bar serving alchohol , you have to know what and who the crowd is before you go in to order a beer with your friends, or watch out.
If you are new to that bar, you’ll get looked over anyways, but if you are the only black in a all white bar, you are not going to feel at home. The same as one or two white people going to an all black bar. I’m of course generalizing, not 100% of the time. It could be a bar of all Poles, Arab tea house,a bar frequented only by women, or men, or a particular group of college students.
At the hookah bar its a known fact that its open to all cultures, of course its flavoured by the one thing in common here , our mutual inate human being, and the hookah.
You could say “Isn’t the Hookah an Arabic cultural thing?” No, it originated in India and spread to mainland China and Asia, to all of the Arab lands, to Europe by the various travelers or conquerers of said territories, and in the last 7 years making big inroads into America.
In the hookah bar you can expect to see people of all colours ,ethnic groups, religions and cultures. Its a desirable thing there.
So why not just a pub or bar where they serve beer on tap? “With booze you lose” is a saying not for nothing. It tends to mess with a person’s head, responses,emotions and often adds to violence.
Hookah smoking is a fun thing, a mutual enjoyment, especially if you are two people on a 2 hose hookah, a group sharing a one hose hookah, or 3-4- or 5 people on a multiple hosed hookah.
It draws people to a common denominator and as they relate to themselves as a group, become more one.
The same at home if you make a hookah party of each one bringing their own hookah or again using a multi-hosed narghileh.
Add music,coversation and enjoy the humane warmth.
